Beckem's Blessing

On September 4th Beckem was given a name and a blessing. Jake did a great job and I am so proud and lucky to marries to him. He really is such a great dad and husband! It was a great day spent with family and friends... It did however make me miss my sister Jessica who is in Dominica and my little brother Jared who is serving his mission in Brazil.

Anyway Beckem is now 3 months old! I haven't updated much on him... I will though! I am a slacker, but in all honesty I have been just having fun enjoying my summer with my two kids and husband! My blog is the last thing on my to do list even though I should for journaling purposes.

On May 30th at 7:30 pm our baby boy joined our family! He is perfect in every single way!

He weighed in at 6 pounds 14 ounces and was 20 inches long! And the big shocker had plenty of dark hair! (Addison was born with peach fuzz).

The birth story goes a little something like this... (can skip to pictures cause its going to be long)

Monday morning was memorial day and Jake had the day off... Addison decided to wake up at 8 and come into our bed. Well I was talking with her about breakfast and what she wanted and she told me a sandwich with cheese. I said well maybe we can go get some donuts or something and asked what she wanted on her donut... she said pickles.

Well I woke Jake up asking if he wanted to go to breakfast and he suggested Beez cafe in Roy.

So we got some what ready and headed out. During breakfast I started having some pretty intense contractions. Nothing like when I had contractions with Addison.

When we got home I thought I would get myself and Addison bathed and ready for the day.

As I was doing my makeup my contractions started to get really close and hard for me to stand up... I started to time them around 11 and by 1 thirty we thought we should head to the hospital. After packing some last minute things and packing Addi's bag we headed out by 2 pm. My parents met us there and took Addison while we headed up to see if they would admit me.

By this point my contractions were so bad I thought I was going to die! They checked me and I was at a 5 and a half and STAYING! I asked if I could get an epidural as soon as possible and she said yes but they had to call the DR that did it cause they were so slow that they had sent him home! I thought I could bawl my eyes out right then and there.

Good thing was he only lived 5 minutes away. So I was admitted into my room at 3:30 pm

After being in my room for an hour they checked me and I was at a 7... They started to get concerned with how fast I was progressing because I was positive for strep B and I had to have the medicine in my IV for four hours before I delivered the baby so I wouldn't pass it to him. They had started the IV at 3:30.

The next hour she checked me and said I was at an 8 or 9, so I said so Im at a 8 and a half and she was like no... more like a 9. They said the good thing is that my water hadn't broke yet and if I get to a ten and it still hasn't broke yet then I could wait till 7:30 or until it breaks, whichever happens first.

By 6 they checked me and I was indeed at a 10! However my water had not yet broke and I had an hour and a half to go. My Dr got there at 7:25 to break my water.... lets just say when he broke it I thought of Niagra falls ha ha TMI. The Dr checked and he was sunnyside up so he had to flip him and At 7:27 I felt like pushing and my Dr said to go for it. I pushed a few times and Beckem arrived at exactly 7:30!

He came out with lots of hair and it was dark! Jake and I were so surprised!

Beckem has been a pretty good sleeper and when he is hungry he will for sure let you know!

Addison loves her baby brother and whenever she hears him make a noise she will say oh my gosh... She sings to him and tells him that he is so tiny. She has been a great big sister so far.

We feel so blessed to have a healthy and happy baby boy, he brings so much joy into our lives.

Ready, NOT ready

I have 3 and a half weeks left till my due date. This pregnancy has been very easy... I shouldn't complain, really I know I am lucky with not ever throwing up or ready being that sick or the fact that my baby has been healthy the whole way through! However, I am ready to see his cute face and be done being pregnant! I know I still have a couple more weeks but boy I ache, have the worst heartburn, and cant walk normal... I hate walking, sitting and even laying down! What else is there for me to do? Is floating an option?

BUT! I start to think of all the things I need to get done or the fact that Addison wont be my baby anymore... I know its funny to think but I almost feel sad that she wont be center of our universe.

I know she will be a great big sister! She loves babies! I have been blessed with her cause she has been such an easy going baby/kid... Addi is meant to be the oldest in our family. I can't wait till she comes to the hospital and meets her baby brother.

Sooo I am ready but at the same time I am not ready... I could go all the way to my due date if it wasn't for this uncomfortableness. I had my fun appointment this last Tuesday. I am dilated to a 1 and 50% effacement... The baby is weighing about 6 pounds 6 ounces and has very little moving space. I have had a few contractions off and on this past week so we will see. I am sure my next post will be his arrival.

Easter

Easter was great! Addison was pretty excited about the the candy in the eggs and new toys she got in her basket. We had a wonderful Easter dinner at my parents house, we had ham, rolls, funeral potatoes, salad, jello and STRAWBERRY PIE! Mmmm that is probably my favorite of Eater dinner... I may or may not have had more than three pieces. After dinner we had an egg hunt for the grand kids.

Even our new little LITTLE nephew Luca got to come out for the egg hunt! All the little kids were so excited to finally see him, so were the rest of us. He is so dang cute and tiny.

All in all in was a good time spent with good company! I love Holidays!

Well it looks like blogger hates me and will only let me load one photo, so that's it for now! I want to start updating more and more.

OH! And I have like 5 weeks left till baby Beckem gets here! YAY! Cant wait!

Ugh!

I am seriously going crazy! I have been looking for baby bedding since we found out we were having a boy back in December! I have yet to find ANY the I really love everything about! The biggest issue is the crib we have is black and most of the bedding has brown in it.

FRUSTRATING!

Plus I don't really want anything with a lot going on with it, like the crazy jungle stuff, rac

e cars, or the sports bedding. I want just colors maybe some shapes... pretty basic. You wouldn't think it would be so hard to find something like that, but obviously its easier to find something with a rock star theme than something with two or three colors on it with some little design.

PLEASE!

If you have seen any or have any suggestions let me know! My head hurts from spending so much time searching the internet for baby boy bedding... I have googled those three words so many times, its not even funny!

Here are some few that I like but have can't quite decide if I really LOVE them.

I like the colors in this and how simple it is, however I don't like how it is squared off (if that makes any sense) and I am afraid if I get that then I would have to decorate with a boat theme.

This one is a little busy, but I like the bright colors and I think it would be fun to decorate with, however I am not a big fan of the stars and there is a tiny bit of brown in it... oh and does this seem boyish? Because it said it was a neutral gender bedding.

My Birthday, Vday, and Addi is 2! Whoohoo!

Jan 21st was my birthday and it was a wonderful time! 23 is a lame age... Nothing cool about it, but what can ya do. Jake took me out to Rodizio Grill! Yum! I love that place, it is so gooood! I think Jake stopped eating before I did.

Jake made it a wonderful day and turning 23 wasn't as bad as I thought. I still feel 18, sad huh?

Valentines day was very low key and just how I wanted it to be. We actually celebrated it on Saturday and brought Addison along with us. We decided to go to Panda Express cause it seems like everyone else in the world decided to celebrate the early too... Anyway, after dinner we went to the junction and played at the arcade. Addison had so much fun and secretly Jake and I did too.

After playing there we got Addi into bed and grabbed some Ben and Jerrys, watched a movie on Netflix and fell asleep ;) It was a perfect Vday! Jake surprised me on the actually day and got me a ipod shuffle! Its pretty sweet! Now I have something to help encourage me to workout after this baby is born. I did clean our very unorganized room for him and made him chocolate covered strawberries! They turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

Now the best for last! Our sweet Addi mei mei turned 2 on Feb 16th! I cannot believe I have a 2 year old and another on the way! I still think I am 18 remember? :)

Well our luck would have it that Addison would get super sick a couple days before. They (the DR) didn't come out and say what she had but they think it was RSV or Asthma, so they sent us home with meds and a nebulizer. AWESOME! Well her birthday morning she woke up and seemed to be doing a lot better so we thought lets still do what we were planning on doing and see how it goes.

We took her McDonald's to get a happy meal cause what kid doesn't love that?! While we were there she became very hyper... not sure if it was her meds or the fact that we were finally out of the house but she was excited about everything! Her own sody (soda), her toy and oddly the lights there??? Well we thought we would still be okay to take her to the movie Gnomeo and Juliet. That didn't go so well... she was up and down the stairs in the theater the whole time, we probably took her out 5 times and it was just plain stressful!

I thought it would be okay because back in December we took her to see Tangled and she sat through the whole movie! Maybe she was still excited out the lights or sody, who knows.

Then we threw her a family party on Sunday! It turned out fantastic and I am so grateful for all the help! The party was under the sea/Little Mermaid themed. If anyone knows or has spent some time with Addi you would know she loves the Little Mermaid! You show her a picture or a toy of her and she will start to sing the ah ah ah, ah ah ah ah ahhhhh... yeah, you get the point. Its adorable. Addison has seriously been so excited about being sung Happy Birthday to since the beginning of Jan probably. She sang it everyday in the tub during breakfast, lunch and dinner. So when it was her time her face said it all and she knew what to do! She blew those candles out like a champ with no help! I wish I took a picture but I was too focused on videoing it.

She loved all her gifts and still sings Happy Birthday throughout the day.

I seriously cannot get enough of her! Addison is the perfect child (in my eyes) she makes me laugh all day and says the cutest things. She calls Jake Jakey, and for awhile was calling me weesha... I kept saying, no mommy.

A little update on the little baby!

Everything as been WONDERFUL about this pregnancy! I never threw up and have the best appetite ever! I am starting to show a ton and can feel the tiny kicks from the little bum proving to me that he is indeed still there!

I really started to feel him the day of Christmas with no questions if they were really kicks or if it was bubbles. Jake actually felt him kick this last Sunday! It is starting to seem real now and I hope June comes quickly!!

Now we have picked a name and it will probably stay his name as long as he doesn't end up being a she ha ha, however I am trying to figure the best way to spell it.

We like the Name Beckham, no not from the soccer player David Beckham (that is where I first heard the name cause I liked it as a name before I married, but I am not naming him that cause of the soccer player)... It is actually a family name on Jake's moms side of the family. So we are trying to figure the spelling out.

I don't hate the HAM part of BECKHAM but I don't like it all the much, so here are some ways my friend Cortnie helped me come up with, if you have a different way post it or just tell me what you like the best! Thanks!

CHRISTMAS TIME 2010

We had a fantastic Christmas season! We have so many traditions and spend so much time with family that it is the most wonderful time of the year!

For Christmas Eve my family always goes to Temple square to see the lights... It always seems to be a battle to get there for everyone but as soon as I get there it is all worth it! Temple square is beautiful all year round! After the lights we go back to my parents house and eat crepes... after dinner we exchange gifts between the little grandkids. Savanna got Addison a cute ballerina barbie and my parents got Addison a glitter barbie. She loves barbies lately... When she opened one of them she screamed so loud! It was hilarious! She seriously makes me laugh all day!

Then all the kids still at home (Elizabeth and Katie) plus the grandkids opened their jammies! My mom made all the little grandkids jammies again this year, she made the little girls night gowns. They turned out cute! After that everyone headed home while Jake and I stayed at my parents. We decided that it might be fun to spend Christmas morning at their house this year... A couple deciding factors

*We usually go there first thing in the morning

*We thought it would be fun for Addison to spend the night there and open all her gifts with her aunts and grandparents

*My little Brother was calling from Brazil and I didn't want to miss it!

My little brother is doing great and is catching on with the language! I am so proud of him and look up to him so much... not cause he is taller but because I could never leave my family for two years, let alone leave them to go to another country all by myself! He is brave and a faithful missionary!

I think we all got more then we could ever ask for and just had a great time spending it with so many family members!

I love holidays with kids! It makes it so much more exciting, even more than when I was a kid!

Things I have learned from this Christmas season:

*Pregnant Christmas shopping is the worst!

*Taking a toddler Christmas shopping is even more worst!

*Going Christmas shopping with my parents has to be the worst of the worst!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We sure have and can't wait for what 2011 has for us! Lots to look forward to!

THAT'S RIGHT! We have done it again! We just think we can make pretty darn good babies so we thought why not add another one into the mix!

I had my second Dr appointment today and I will be 11 weeks tomorrow. I love to see the changes every time we go and boy has our little kidney bean changed! We could see everything, legs, arms and even little fingers! It was moving around like crazy and I couldn't believe that I am carrying yet another one of Jake's babies ;)

Addison doesn't really understand that I have a baby in my stomach, but I am sure once I start getting fat she will be curious. She came with Jake and I to the appointment today and my Dr handed the ultrasound pictures to Jake and Addison pulled it right out of his hands just stared at them like whats so interesting about this?

We are all so excited and I can't wait to see how Addison reacts to a baby in the house... she loves babies and she is such a good little mommy with her dolls! As I type this she is trying to put on her size 5 diapers on her little doll... she can change all the new babies diapers if she wants, fine by me! HA HA

This pregnancy has been pretty good so far! I have yet to be super sick or throw up... THANK GOODNESS! I am however sooo sooo tired! I think it's cause I am having to entertain a toddler all day. Jake had helped a lot around the house and with Addison even though he works and goes to school full time.

I am due June 8th... so freakin far away!

Halloween is always a good time... My family has a Halloween party every year and it gets better every time! Addison was fun to watch this year! This time around she could walk to the door and when it was time to move onto the next house she would run and say go go go!

Addison was a black kitty! My mom made the arm and leg warmers plus the cute tutu and tale! She did such a great job... She made all the little girls costumes this year and even last years. My mom is super Grandma!

I was lucky to ride around my parents car while Jake took her door to door... It was way toooo cold for me. Addison was so excited about her candy, as was Jake and I :). We all shared Addi's hard work and boy did it taste good. It actually lasted us a good while. Jake was a dog to go along with Addison's cat costume. I wanted to dress up but at the last minute things didn't work out... oh well, there is always next year right?

Addison was born a month after two of her cousins, Savanna (Jessica's) and Brooklyn (Sharee's). Needless to say they are all really close in age.

At first they didn't really notice one another but recently they have become good little friends.

They all have such funny personalities!

Addison loves to just follow them around and play with them.

When they were all newborns everyone use to say Addison was the nuggets, Brooklyn was the Jr cheese burger and Savanna was the BIG MAC! Now I think Addison is the biggest!

What can I say, she loves her food! I try to get Addi to say their names and when she will its Booky for Brooklyn and Nanna for Savanna.

Now that summer is pretty much over :( I wanted to stay positive and I thought well why not kill two birds with one stone and BLOG what I am looking forward to this fall! Boring I know but our camera has hid our charger so I haven't been able to take any pictures of what we have been up to, so for now you get pics from the internet or phone or just non at all.

I really am excited for fall! I look forward to several things cause of this season!

Well, Well... we meet again my outdated blog! I will do a fast update on the last couple of months and then a regular post on whats going on now!!! Deep breath and GO!

March- March 20th was a awesome day! Not cause New Moon came out on DVD or because it was the first day of spring but because it is mine and Jake's wedding anniversary!!! Two years baby!
We dropped Addison off at my moms and headed to check out a car we were looking to buy... We loved it and the condition it was in was perfect! So we purchased our first family car! A 2003 Honda Pilot! I love it! Its roomy and I won't be stressed beyond belief when I drive it in the snow!
Then we headed to Park city to do some shopping and lunch and then went to Salt Lake to go to dinner... It was fun but we had to leave early to get Addison cause she thought it would be convenient to get really sick while we were gone!

April-we had Easter! Addison understood it better this time and thought it would be awesome if she could eat all my cad berry eggs! YEP! Every single one! Sad day :(
Then my little brother Jared left on his mission! That was hard! I cried like a baby! He is going to be an awesome missionary! He is in Brazil and loving it!

May- We decided we needed a little vacation! Sooo to Southern Utah it was! We went to my Grandparent's house in New Harmony (right across Kolob canyons) and relaxed all weekend!
It was a blast. My sister Jessica and her family came and so did my little sister Katie and cousin Mckayla... the little girls helped babysit while we went into St George for dinner and shopping!
It was so fun!
My brother Randy came to visit! We don't get to see him very often so it was nice to see him and a lot of fun! We went bowling and had a BBQ!

Now JUNE!!! Yay! June is the best! Its the start of summer and swimming!
We had my little sisters birthday (happy birthday Katie!) I made her those cute fabric flower headbands! They are so easy to make!
We have been on a couple different hikes... we love to hike, when its easy for me! ;)
Then it was my sister Sharees birthday (happy birthday). We went to Surf N Swim! Addison loves swimming so she stayed out all day! It was great! Then for fathers day we went to my oldest brothers house and ate great food and played with their adorable kitty! Not a cat person but this little guy won me over!

Well there ya go, now for the update on Addison! She is not a baby anymore! :( she doesn't even have an ounce of baby left in her! As I type she is standing on a kid chair eating cookie crisps!
She walks everywhere, loves to eat everything and wins over the hearts of everyone! She is always so happy and smiley! She loves when people laugh cause she thinks its something she did and will laugh along with you! We took her in for a check up and weighs 24 pounds and is 31 inches tall! She is a chunk!
Some new words she says... kunk-skunk, ar, ar, arf, arf (dog barking?), Addi, MMMma-Grandma, Papa-Grandpa, caca-ooo - cockadoodle, ouch, ahhh (manly grunt), UP.
She loves little animals and wants to pick them up and give kisses!

For our little family, well we are gggggreat! ha ha... We are going to start getting our house ready to sale! A little nervous but it is in the next step to getting where we want to be. Jake is doing great in school! He will be graduating this coming spring! Then its onto his masters... school is never ending for him but I am grateful for all the hard work he puts into it! It will be over sooner than I think (fingers crossed)!

February 16... Happy FIRST Birthday Addison!

Addison is now the big 1! She is such a great baby! Everyone that meets her always says how loving and good of a baby she is, she is always cuddling with people and giving them hugs. I have a feeling with our next we are going to have our hands full since we lucked out on Addison.

Her birthday turned out great! We had Hawaiian Hay stacks and rolls for dinner, and Fondue for dessert. Mmm Everything was so yummy! Addison loved her cupcake! She grabbed that thing and demolished it.... she was at one point using her candle as a spoon. We just had our close family members there to celebrate. It was a great day and I can't believe she is already one!

Addison can say: ma ma, da da, Uh oh, Oooh, and either Shi* or whats that... Not sure which one

Addison crawls and furniture travels.... she is so close to walking, but I am fine if she takes her time.

Addison eats anything I am eating! She loves fries, chicken nuggets, rice, yogurt, mashed potatoes and pretty much anything that is sweet!

Addison loves to give hugs and kisses. She makes a smacking noise when she wants a kiss, so we are giving kisses all day long. She also loves our dog Maverick... she will follow him all over the house and try to hug him or pat him.

My mom got her this rocking horse that is so cute! Addison got right on it and new to rock it and was riding it. Every morning since she will see it and crawl right over to it and climb on and go for a ride. Its the perfect size for her that she can touch the ground and can climb on and off of it on her own.

We have loved this first year with her! Addison is such a good baby and we love her so much!

HOLY MOLY!!! I haven't blogged in... well... FOREVER! What can I say, my blogging skills aren't the best. No worries though, I will try to update the last couple months and keep it as short as possible.

The end of summer ended way to soon. I hate that point where it's time for Jake to go back to school. He is a very hard worker and we are very proud of him! But gosh darnit! We want him home more so we can play. September, nothing too exciting happened... That I can think of.

October was fun cause the weather was changing and Halloween with a baby is fun! You get to dress them up and show them off, plus you get all the candy since they can't eat any of it.

Addison was a bumblebee. My mom made hers and all the little girl cousins costumes.

Jake dressed up as... well i'm not really sure, he just really wanted a mask. I was a twister girl.

It was a fun Halloween spent with the family.

November was great cause of Thanksgiving. My family was in Washington so we spent it with Jake's family. It was a little strange since I have always spent it with mine, but the food was good and the company was interesting.

December was the BEST! Christmas was great! It's fun to spend it with a baby. I know she really didn't know what was going on, but I sure enjoyed it. I woke everyone up as early as Jake would let me and we opened our gifts. Addison didn't really have a lot of toys, so for Christmas we made up for that and got her a good amount. She honestly loved all her gifts and was so excited. The cutest is the cabbage patch baby and the stroller... she pushes it back and forth in the living room. She loves babies... she is always trying to feed it and give it loves. It's crazy how at this age she already knows what to do with it.

January has been way fun. We went to California for my birthday. It was so fun and we spent a day at Disneyland! It's funny how that place never gets old! Addison did so good! She didn't cry the entire day. It really is the happiest place on earth! We also visited the aquarium, a science museum and the beach. The waves were crazy big from the storms so it was fun to watch those. It was pouring rain the first couple of days we were there but luckily the day we went to Dland and the beach it was perfect weather!

*SIGH*! Well there you have it... the last couple of months for us were very fun and exciting!

I love having Addison in our lives! She makes every trip, holiday and moment that much more fun! Now we have Addison's one year birthday coming up in Feb. Well here are some pictures, ENJOY!

For Jake's Birthday we dropped Addi off at my mom's and went to Cafe Rio for lunch and then went and saw The Goods... it was lame, but Jake liked it. After that Jake had class (lame), but luckily it got out two hours early, so we went and picked out an ice cream cake and then headed home.

Now here is the mushy stuff.... you can skip this part

Let me just say that I am pretty sure I married the SWEETEST, FUNNIEST, SMARTEST, most ADORABLEST man alive! Jake would do anything for anyone. He is my Heaven on Earth!

Jake is going to school full time and working full time just so he can provide for our little family... he works so hard so that I am able to stay at home with Addi and to me that is a blessing.

Jake is my best friend and I think is an amazing husband and dad!

I am so lucky to have him in my life!

My baby is 6 Months!

Ah! When did this happen!? She is getting so big now.... Addi is our iddy biddy. We took her into her 6 month check up and she weighs 15.5 pounds, 27 in long. Our little baby girl is long and lean like her mom (Drs words not mine). Addi loves her daddy... whenever he is in the room she just smiles and talks to him nonstop and when he leaves the room she looks for him and waits quietly. She also loves the mirror and her cousins or any little person for that matter. Sometimes I think Addi thinks she is a big person and these "little kids" are funny to watch.

Addi already has quite the personality! Everyone thinks she is going to be a little comedian.

Addi still is the perfect baby. She sleeps through the night, loves people (social like her daddy) and only gets fussy when she is tired or hungry (kinda like me) ;)

Jake had the whole week off from July 6 Monday- July 14th cause he had too much PTO at work and he was told to take a week off. So we decided to do some fun and cheap things around here. Let me just say how much I wish he never had to work! I love having him around! He happens to be (along with Addi) my most favoritest person in the whole entire world! He lights up my life ha ha.

So we started our little staycation off with a walk around Layton park! I happen to think it's one pretty park and the ducks are fun to watch. I love when its spring and there is a ton of little baby ducks, they are cute.

Then on Tuesday we went to Surf N Swim with my mom and little sisters plus my brother Nick and his wife came and my sister Sharee and her two kids. It was fun! Addison seems to like the water if only her legs are in it, just like her mom ;). Jake loved being in the pool.

On Wednesday we went spent the day cleaning and organizing the house and just had a relaxing day. Sometimes its nice getting Addi and bringing her in our bed in the morning and just the three of us chilling in there.

Then on Thurday we went on a hike up Taylors Canyon. Holy CRAP I am out of shape! I was dying! I wanted to turn around after five minutes! But Jake wouldn't let me... plus I couldn't be the one to give up, the only thing I was carrying was our water. Jake just kept going and he even was carrying Addi on his back. Such a show off! Jk ;) he kept encouraging me and telling me I was doing so good... with the sun beating down on me and the burn in my legs I wanted to give up, but seeing Jake carrying our chub of a daughter up that hill without even slowing down I knew I had to keep going.

We then went on another hike with my family a couple days later and it was only suppose to be a 1 1/2 mile hike but it was a 3 1/2 miles long just one way! Not to mention straight up inclines! It was so worth it in the end cause the view was amazing!

We also have been bringing our dog Maverick on hikes with us and I wasn't sure how he would do since he is a little stub of a dog but he did awesome! He didn't even need his leash... just followed us the whole time! I was so proud! Ha

We also got to go to Lagoon twice for super cheap thanks to my little sister!

It was soooo freaking hot! I got to go on a couple rides with Jake the first time, but the second time around I only went on one with him and we brought his nephew to be his riding buddy since I had Addi. I just hung out with my sister and her little kids in kiddy land.

Addi got to ride on the train and she loved it! We also took her on the haunted house there and I was probably more scared than she was and I know it is a lame haunted house but I was afraid for Addi :)

On a side note so when we were standing in line for our tickets my sister Sharee had both of her kids with her and only one stroller so I told her I would hold Brooklyn for her while she stood in line, so Jake had Addi who was in her stroller standing in line with my sister while I hung out with brooklyn the shade, so I watching them and I notice this lady behind Jake putting her hands all over Addi!!!! She was rubbing her face, arms, and legs.... I was sitting there... horrified! Thinking what the eff! Why isn't Jake stopping her. This went on for about five minutes just dying. Well finally I go and get her cause at this point she is screaming! I was too (inside)!

Well Jake finally comes over and I was like why in the world were you letting that lady rub her hands all over our baby?!

Jake was like she was blind, so what was I suppose to say to her.

Okay so I am sorry if this will offend you, but I don't care what is wrong with you! Ya don't touch someones baby! let alone their FACE!!! I basically bathed her in hand sanitizer.

Stuff like that makes me so mad! I mean come on... REALLY? :)

So needless to say we had lots of fun with Jakes time off and we miss him being around all day

The 4th

The 4th was pretty fun! We woke up early and headed to my sister Sharee's house for a big breakfast with my parents, two younger sisters and my two older sisters plus their little families.

It was a very delightful and fatty breakfast! After breakfast Jake had to head into work... Lame huh?! After he left everyone else headed to the Layton parade. It was pretty fun. When the city council men drove past in their convertible my dad was like watch this Alicia and shouted "lower our taxes! Lower our taxes!" It was funny, the guy just turned and gave him a thumbs up. My dad is awesome!

When the parade was over we were pretty pooped and just relaxed then headed over to my parents house. We got Pizza and stuff to make ice cream sundaes. YUM! By that point Jake was off of work and came to join us to watch fireworks on my parents deck. They have a view of

basically all of Davis county and North Salt lake. It was perfect cause we saw Layton, Clearfields, Lagoons and many others fireworks. Addison was so fasinated by the fireworks! It was a fabulous 4th!

2 years ago today was me and Jake's first date! I know I didn't blog about our one year wedding Anniversary (way more important than our first date) but that's cause I am lazy, so i figured I would blog about our first date.

Jake and I had known each other for a couple months as just friends.... One day we started texting and discussed that we should hang out again since it had been awhile. So we decided to make it a simple/casual date and see how it goes. Well we went to Wendy's for frostys and to a park in Ogden to play Frisbee ha ha so fancy I know! Right before we got back to his truck he stopped me and pulled this line "every second we go without kissing a puppy dies!"

(you have to know Jake to know he was just being funny), so I was thinking what the FU?! I had to kiss him for the puppies right??? :)

After we were done at the park we headed back to his apartment to watch some movie.... I ended up having a really fun time with him on our casual and thought I would keep him around for while and see what happens. Jake and I were talking about our first date this morning and he said who would of thought! Here we are married and we have beautiful baby girl. Its so crazy thinking about the first time I met Jake to now. Things couldn't be better! I love his stinkin guts and feel grateful we end up with each other! I am a lucky girl that has such a wonderful husband!

Yet another long waited update

MAN! I am bad at this blogging thing! Well I will try to update whats been going on this past month in our most exciting lives.

On May 3rd. Addison was blessed, Jake was so nervous but he did a great job! We had our family and friends over afterwards and everything turned out just splendid.

The next day Jake, Addi, and I went on our first family trip! Not a far one, just to the lovely St George. My Grandparents are down there and they have all the works! An awesome view of the Kolob canyons right from their back deck! An indoor pool and hot tub! And a quick drive to Zions or St George. Plus its a free place to stay with all the fixings of a hotel... Doesn't get any better than that.

So while we were there we took a hike in Zions, Addi was pretty tired going up those hills. Then we went to the St George Temple! Beautiful! Of course we made a stop at IN N OUT and played at nicely shaded park.

A week later my brother Randy and his wife Cassi came to visit from New Hampshire! It was so fun to see them and have them meet the new babies since they have been gone.

We had a BBQ at my other brothers house and took a long over-due picture of all of us Guthrie kids together again! We have missed them lots! I'm glad they could come back and visit.

Jake and I have been trying to go out on dates. On May 21st Jake took me to see Dane Cook! AH! He was so freaking funny. We had awesome seats, 7th row from the stage. He was practically spitting on us! My wonderful mom and little sister Elizabeth watched Addison for us. It wasn't the first time she has been babysat but it was the longest! It was so hard. I kept watching my phone to make sure she was alright. My mom got her to sleep right at her bedtime! So we brought her home and put her right to bed! That was super nice!

Speaking of bedtime Addi does so good with sleeping through the night! This happened when she was about 2 1/2 months. I love it! She sleeps all night in her crib. I know it was while ago, but I just wanted to brag about her... just a little :)

She also has started laughing!!! I was so excited when I first heard that wonderful sound!

I was able to capture it on video a couple times and if I am able to figure out how to post it from the video camera I will cause it is the greatest noise on earth. I am pretty sure everyone will agree.

Addi went on her first Zoo adventure! Of course she had no idea what was going on, she was more into her shadow than the animals. We met up with my sister Jessica, and her husband Jesse, and their two kids Streator and baby savanna. It was good seeing them and Streator was so fun to watch since he is at that age where he gets excited to see the animals.

That same week we went to a Bees game. I love spending the day with Addi and Jake. Addi was good and loved watching the little kids around us play.

June 5th was my little sister Katie's birthday! She turned 12! Katie happens to be the baby of the family. I remember when she was born and I wanted to bring her to show and tell at school ha ha. I can't believe she is growing up. I remember teaching her to say shake your booty b****. Yikes! I got in a lot of trouble.

On Monday we were able to go Lagoon for employee family days. My little sister Elizabeth works there, so the whole Guthrie clan (well my mom, Katie, Jared, and Elizabeth) went with us to Lagoon and it was a blast. I didn't realize how hard it was to find a spot to feed your baby in private! We went to the back of the park and sat between a fence and bush. LAME!

Other than that it was a good time and I was grateful for the help I got with Addi so I was able to enjoy the rides like everyone else.

Well there you have it! It's been nice having Jake out of school for the summer cause we get to go on all these fun family adventures! He did really great this last semester of school and is working really hard at work! I am so grateful for him and all that he does for our little family, because of him I am able to stay at home with Addi. He is a great husband and an amazing daddy to Addison. I love him and feel so lucky I get to be his wife!

2 months old and growing

Addi had her 2month appointment. Jake and I couldn't even watch them give her all those shots!!! We looked away, we are such babies. Addi is now a whopping 11 pounds and 22 inchesn which is right on track the Dr said. Here are some things she is up to now.

I can't believe how fast this month has gone! The one thing I cried about after she was born was her growing up... Addison is still tiny and still is an awesome eater and sleeper, she loves to sleep in our bed at night (hoping to change that), loves baths, car rides, music, walks, and her daddy! Whenever Jake talks to is seating by her she just stares at him! She is so adorable. I just want her to stay this age forever!

The first week home

Well I thought since I am home all day long I could update a little with some pictures.

Addison is such a good baby... so far :). She is a good eater, pooper, and she sleeps through most of the night... I know its only been a week and a half to see if she will keep sleeping this way, but I will keep my fingers crossed and enjoy the sleep I am getting right now.

The hardest part is being stuck at home all day... I want to get out and go do stuff. I watch a lot of TV which is such a waste of time. Jake keeps telling me to go buy a good book, so if you have any good suggestions let me know.

Sunday, February 15th started out like any other Sunday. Sleeping in till the last minute before getting ready for church, sitting through each meeting thinking how freaking hungry I am... after church Jake and I decided to get some last minute baby things up in her room since we were down to three weeks till her big arrival, or so we thought.

We ended up taking a nap, well when I was falling asleep I started having some contractions or what I thought was braxton hicks, well I woke up about two hours later having contractions that were three minutes apart... after making three different calls and timing my contractions for two hours Jake told me that this was happening and we needed to go. We arrived at the hospital at ten pm. The checked the babies heart and my contractions and the worst... they checked me. The nurse that checked me said I was at a 5 and it looked like we were staying.

They moved to the delivery room and hooked me all up! I hate IVs and getting my blood taken!

Around 12 I was dilated to a 6. I was thinking Sweet this is going to go by so fast ha ha. I still hadn't asked for my epidural cause I wasn't really in that much pain. Well the nurse came in around 2 and said she needed to check me again, that's when I was like well can I get an epidural now? I thought being checked hurt a ton worse than my contractions, so she said that was fine and called the Dr around 2:55 and he got there at 3. Now I knew they used big needles for this and knew it was going to hurt but BOY did it hurt! The nurse checked me at 3:30 and I was only at a 6 1/2!!! I was like are you freaking kidding me?! I know first time labor takes forever but I was tired. The epidural felt sooooo gooood! I would start to fall asleep, but would start laughing cause of how good I felt. They noticed that after my contractions the babies heart rate would deep down, they had to keep adjusting the way I was laying to fix it. Since I hadn't changed much since the last time they checked me they thought they would help me out and gave me pitocin. In about an hour I was dilated to a 8! Yay! This was around 5:30 and then at 7:30 am I was at a 9 and my water finally had broke. She called my Dr and when he got there I was at a 10 and ready to go. I had left the TV and the movie INTO THE DEEP was on, so I got to watch that during the best part... pushing! I started pushing around 8:25 and had our beautiful baby girl Addison at 8:44 am February 16th. Jake did cut the cord and he was such a proud daddy.. he just sat there in awe when the Dr held her up and she let out a little cry and was done.

It was so easy! I thought it was going to be super hard but it was such an easy labor and delivery, I am also way lucky with how easy it was breastfeeding, she did awesome right off the bat! They finally brought her to me and I got to hold her and could not believe that she was ours to keep! So perfect and tiny! She was that thing that was kicking me and getting hiccups every time I was ready to fall asleep. We are so happy to have her here and show her off to family and friends. We are so in love with our tiny Addison Mei!

New Years, Christmas, and Boobs!

Like many of you fellow bloggers I too suck at updating my blog... SO sue me. JK.

I figured since I am home sick from work today with the lovely head cold everyone seems to be passing around in my family I might as well update what has happened in the last month.

New Years!!!

Well we didn't plan on doing anything except staying home and watching a movie because Jake had been sick all week. Our friends Jaren and Cortnie said we were invited to come along with them to a New Years get together.... Well I have grown out of all my shirts lately and so I needed to go get one if we were going to be seen by the outside world. The mall was already closed so we headed over to Target, where we met up with Jaren and Cortnie.... We looked at shirts and none looked worth buying (a little had to do with me being grumpy that night) and I still wanted to look around Target since I love that place. After awhile we decided that we should just all head back to our house and play some games.

It ended up being a pretty fun New Years.

CHRISTMAS!!!!

This was my first Christmas being married and not waking up in my parents house. I was sad at the thought that I was all grown up, but it ended being one of the best Christmases ever! Jake got me a Chii, shoes, boots, a gift card to buy clothes for after I have the baby and an itunes card so I can download Justin Timberlake :)

I got everything I wanted and more! Jake got shirts a belt and Rock Band! I was proud of myself for keeping it a secret for that long and suprising him.

We spent Christmas Eve at my parents doing the traditional crapes dinner and Temple square lights. It was freezing!!! Then Jake and I headed back to our house and opened our Christmas Jamas! It was an awesome Christmas and I can't wait for next year with our new addition!

BOOB surgery

Well I didn't get inplants unfortunatly. Back in Feb of last year while doing bridals I noticed a paid in my left boob. I just thought it was the wire from the boostiay. Well the next morning it still was killing me and I felt a farely large lump in my left boob. So I had to set up an ultra-sound to see if it is solid or liquid. When I went it they saw it was solid and they set up another appointment for a surgeon. I this point I was a wreck, thinking I am 20 years old and am going to have breast cancer and will get my boob cut off right before my wedding! I am a little dramatic when it comes to medical things.

I went and met with a surgeon in Ogden who was not very nice and told me to just leave it and get it checked on every couple of MONTHS! Who wants to do that? just so you know this lump was so close to the surface that you could see the color of it and it poked out a ton! It wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world to say the least. Well I wasn't very happy with that Dr but I thought I would just leave it for now.

Months went by, we got married and two months after that ended up getting pregnant. When I met with my OB he said I should get the lump check out again and he strongly suggested I get it removed ASAP.

He suggested another surgeon, so in November of this year I went in and met with an awesome Dr who was a lot more understanding. We set up the surgery on DEC 12th. Well the day came and I was so nervous! I wore those lovely hospital gowns, got a very itchy IV (OUCH!) and headed onto the operating room. They got me all prepped on the bed and all I could thing about was are they really going to leave those dang blinds open facing that neighborhood while they cut my boob open?! I told the Dr and anaesthesiologist how nervous I was and they kept telling me its understandable... and I was like I know, but I think I am so nervous cause of how much Greys Anatomy That I have been watching. They all got a good laugh out of that. Since I am pregnant they couldn't put me under completely, just sedate me so I would fall asleep. Well when he ran that medicine through my IV I wanted to DIE!!! He was like OK now count to ten. I started counting with the whinniest voice ha ha and ended up I swear at almost 20! I thought I was never going to fall asleep, but I did and I was out!!! Then I woke up in the recovery room to some chick saying how much pain she was in... It was kind of funny to me to listen to her whine. Rude I know. Then when the nurse came in I was like do you still have it? She was like have what... and I am all the lump, I wanna see it. The nice nurse she was, she brought it on over for me to see and it was HUGE! It was like a ball with this thick tail thing. Gross! I wish I had my camera with me so I could post it and show you all.

Well they finally let me see Jake and eat some graham crackers! After checking the babies heart for the third time they said I was good to go and wheeled me out to my car. That was embarrassing!

Jake took me home and made me a bed in front of the TV and rented me movies and got me treats! It ended up being a relaxing day. My sister Sharee and adorable nephew Carson came over later on bringing me flowers and a get well balloon. Carson kept pointing to where I got my IV and said shot? He knows that those are evil like I do. That night my sweet little mom came and brought us dinner and her famous cookies! I was grateful I still had my appetite!

I am glad to have it out and over with!!! Plus I am glad I had Jake to take care of me. He was so helpful and sweet!

Fall Photos

On Sunday my side of the family went up to the canyon to take family photos.
My mom's camera has the ones with all the family on it... We just got a few fun ones on mine.
I thought Jake looked STUNNING in his little fall outfit. This also shows my new hair cut... or as someone at work said, my mom cut. I chopped a ton off, but I love it! Kelsey always does such an awesome!

So we have realized it was time we should start buying things for our babies room.
On Saturday I went down to SLC with my mom and two sisters, Jessica and Sharee to go shopping. First stop: BABIESRUS! I Honestly love this store now! I bought the bedding above for her crib which will be a black crib! I cant wait to start painting and decorating the room.
I seems like we have forever until she is here, but when I start to think about getting everything ready for her big arrival, it seems too close for comfort!
We can't wait!

Belly and Halloween!

Here are some pictures of my ET belly... These were both taken on Halloween night. I am 22 weeks now and she has quite the kick! She usually moves when I wake up for work, during lunch time... then about early evening and dinner time AND right before I go to sleep, so basically she is always moving!
I feel like I get bigger everyday.. Jake would agree. :)
As you can tell my boobs are not really getting any bigger... very disappointing.
All in all I am doing great and feeling pretty good besides my back is constantly hurting... but its worth it.

Halloween!!!!

We didn't actually dress up on Halloween night, but my family had our annual Halloween party the Saturday before, So Jake and I ended up dressing up as a football player and knocked up cheerleader. We got a few good laughs. I just look pretty look ridiculous!!!
On Halloween night while Jake was still at work I went over to my parents to see my little sister and nephews in their cute costumes! Here are the pictures of them.

Katie was an angel, Carson was a dragon and Streator was a chubby little penguin!!!
After Jake got off work we went to a party with our friends Jaren and Cortnie. We didn't know most of the people there, but it was really fun and the everyone was super nice and hilarious!
It was a good night.

20 weeks and 3 days!

Today was our big ultra sound! I seriously couldn't sleep last night because I was afraid I would sleep in and miss my appointment. I was so excited that it was finally here.
We got there super early and ended up waiting over 40 minutes before they actually saw us. :)
The lady that did my ultrasound was super nice and did such a wonderful job of showing us what needed and wanted to see. She said everything looks perfect! We are for sure having a girl!!!! Yay. They had a hard time seeing her face at first cause she was either curled up in this way uncomfortable ball or moving like crazy, but they ended up getting some pretty hilarious shots.
She is weighing in about 12 1/2 ounces with a wonderful round head! She looked so perfect... her little hands and feet! It was sooo neat.
The best part besides knowing that she is healthy and growing, is watching my adorable husbands face. He thinks its the coolest thing ever! I love him :)
I will have to post some pictures of her and my ET looking belly... I just am too lazy to look for my camera, but I will try to by the end of this week.
Oh, and a side note... so they had the Dr come in to go over some stuff, which he didn't, he just asked if we had any questions so I was like is it okay if I am always eating junk food? I seriously can't stop? (like right now I want a famous star with no cheese and a diet coke Mmmmm).
The Dr was like no its fine for the baby, but if you were fat I would tell you to change your diet.

Bathroom Etiquette

Most people that know me know I HATE using any public bathrooms, and yes this has become a huge problem being pregnant and working 8 hour shifts. Let me go over some of the reasons as to why.
For some odd reason people like to catch up with you if you run into them in there... I had a lady start asking all the pregnant questions while she was peeing in the other stall.
Then there is the always awkward sounds coming from the person next to you... You feel like holding your breath for more then just one reason.
Don't even get me started on with the whole guy and girl bathrooms! Yuck! It doesn't matter how clean they are
they are still so disgusting
I wont go to the bathroom if the seat is warm... it grosses me out to think that someone else just used it. If I am at anyones house I will have to be on the verge of peeing my pants in order to go and if that happens I have to have the water running, even at my own house.
I think since going to the bathroom consists of coming out of our private parts we should keep keep it private and to ourselves!

In other news...
On Thursday night Jake and I went to the Real game, parking was crazy! and it was freezing! But it was a good game and something different to do. Plus I got a new jacket for the occasion.
A win, win. Last night I went to the international house of pancakes! Thats right.. Ihop. Mmm it was good, I got the pumkin pancakes... they weren't to bad.
I went with my friends Tiffani and Laurie while my wonderful husband earned money.
Then we went to the mall, I love that place. Afterwards I headed home to go get a movie and dinner with Jake. We got KFC and bought Iron man. Such a good movie.
Well thats about it.

It's been a very long time... so here is a little update!

My friend Kelsey has been getting on my case about updating since the last time I posted was back in MAY! I know, I know.... I am such a slacker. Well I will try to do my best to let the very few that read this know what has been going on with us.

On July 12 we got some surprising but exciting news! We were expecting our first child! It was a Saturday and it was my friend's (Kelsey) baby shower and she kept telling me that I should take a test since I was having some signs of being pregnant. Well I had put it off long enough and after the shower I went to her house to take it. Well I took it and I was like oh... its negative like last time.
Kelsey told me to show her... she was like um that means positive! I thought it could only have the positive sign to mean I was pregnant. I was so shocked!
Jake this whole time was out golfing with his friend and was suppose to be meeting me at my parents, and I didn't want to tell him over the phone so I left to go meet him... lets just say that it was an overwhelming drive.
Well I met Jake at my parents and told him the sweet news. He was pretty shocked himself, but was very excited.

I am now just about 19 weeks along and the Dr said it looks like we are having a baby GIRL!
When I found that out all I could think about was those adorable headbands! Our big appointment is coming in 2 weeks and we will know for sure if it is for sure a girl.
The Dr was pretty sure since she was spread eagle. :) My two older sisters Sharee and Jessica are also having babies both January so a little before me and they too are having girls!
I have been feeling baby Pruett kick a ton this past week and on conference Sunday the baby was kicking like crazy! Jake even got to feel the tiny tap. It was amazing!
Well thats all the updating for tonight, but I will try to keep this updated.

Our Wedding! 3/20/2008

I cannot believe that we have already been married for 2 1/2 months now! It was such an amazing day!

On March 20, 2008 I married not only my best friends but someone I adore more then life!
Here are some of the highlights of the day..

Midnight... Jake and Andrew got locked out of our house after Jake's bachelor party and ended up sleeping on my parents NOT so comfortable couches. Jake kept trying to get me to come down stairs... I was busy trying to make room for four of my bridesmaids in my bed that is a double!
Pulling out of the driveway and almost forgetting my wedding dress. Very needed!
Stopping at Wendys to grab a crispy chicken sandwich
2:00 one of my bridesmaid (laurie) got in a car accident on her way to the wedding
3:oo!!! Getting married
Andrew buying blimpies for us

Seeing Jakes face when one of the workers at the union station took us to the car museum to see the old cars and seat in them!

Jake asked me to marry him Christmas morning... It might of been the only gift he got me, but it was probably the best I have ever received!
Jake and I met back in Jan of 07 while me and my friend Tiffani were looking in Tmobile for new cell phones for our birthday gifts to ourselves. Well Jake was and still is a sell rep there and ended up helping us.... Well were just friends for the first little while and actually didn't talk for a month or so till the end of May that year! Our first date was June 26th and it was a bumpy road on if we wanted to be serious or not... long story short I wouldn't trade him for anyone else. He is amazing!!!
